Well. That's a new one.

Mm, quite the unusual origin, I will admit.

However, not quite as unusual as others from my world. There's a man who throws himself in a pit of healing water every time he gets too old.

Your world has a pit of healing water? Why doesn't everyone use it?

It does drive a man insane.
There is also the added requirement that you are friends with said immortal. He's had a lock on those for some time, as far as I've been able to tell.

Not that I've bothered looking, you understand. No need.

We don't have that where I'm from. No abundance of immortals or youth fountains.

But you do have them? You don't seem surprised by the concept.

Hard to be surprised by anything after this world.

Might be nice to stay a while. Only been here a few months. 4 years is doable, done time longer than time.

Your world must offer little, then, if you're not concerned with returning.

Personally, I miss my Opal far too much, now.

She is my city, and a finer one I have never found.

East coast. She's the lone bright spot in the entire seaboard, but it doesn't exist in most worlds.

Very nice to visit, but staying...
